What's On Your Plate? screened as part of the Green Competition Section of the 2009 Green Film Festival in Seoul, Korea.
The festival gave the film a special mention, saying, "The jury wanted to single out one film for special mention which we thought deserved recognition, and that is What's On Your Plate? by Catherine Gund. We thought this was engaging, funny, inspiring and uplifting - a film with a real feel-good factor which treated a serious subject in a way which drew us in, and didn't turn us off. The two main characters, Sadie and Safiyah, were complete naturals and were the perfect vehicle for engaging younger audiences as well as Mums and Dads. So well done to What's On Your Plate?
The festival continues screening competition winners and festival favorites throughout the year as a part of their Green Archive project -- which shows and collects important environmental films from around the world.
What's On Your Plate? has been invited to screen as a part of the Green Archive series and we are excited to continue introducing the project to Korean audiences.
