The Coastline Children's Film Festival will offer more than 50 films shown in various locations in Berrien County, from February 3-12.
More than 1,000 children are anticipated to attend the festival, which will include “What’s on your Plate?,†a documentary about kids and food politics; “Louder Than a Bomb,†a film chronicling a kids’ poetry slam in Chicago; “One Lucky Elephant,†a 1,000-pound love story about a circus elephant’s retirement; “White Mane," the 1953 Cannes Film Festival winner; "Eleanor’s Secret,†an animated film about the magic of learning to read; and selections from Leonard Bernstein’s Young People’s Concerts recorded nearly 50 years ago.
Films are offered free with a $1 donation suggested.
Films will be screened in St. Joseph, MI at the Box Factory for the Arts and the Krasl Art Center; in Benton Harbor, MI at the Anna Russo Sieber Gallery and the Citadel Dance and Music Center; in Three Oaks, MI at The Acorn Theater; and in New Buffalo, MI at the New Buffalo Performing Arts Center at the New Buffalo Middle School/High School.
