What’s on Your Plate is a documentary film which follows two eleven year old,
multi-racial girls over the course of a year, as they explore where their food comes from,
ends up, and its place in the food systems of New York City. They visit restaurants,
groceries, farms, CSAs, and innovative sustainable food programs. FSS will be screening
the film, and sharing stories, recipes, and terrific activities from the corresponding book.
The school will be providing dinner from Jose’s before the film begins, and
childcare for younger kids while the film is screening. The film is most
appropriate for grades 3-8, but younger kids may also enjoy it. If they don’t,
they can leave and join the childcare. Please RSVP for dinner or childcare online.
